National Seminar on Morocco


Casablanca, 11 - 12 November 2006
The seminar was the first of a series of four national seminars dealing with the “Independence and impartiality of the judiciary”. The seminar was organized by the EMHRN Working Group on Justice with the support and assistance of Organisation marocaine des droits de l’Homme (OMDH) and Association marocaine des droits de l’Homme (AMDH), both members of the Justice Working Group.

The objective of the seminar was to review the state of justice in Morocco as well as to identify and debate the major challenges related to the independence of the Moroccan judiciary. The seminar was attended by judges, lawyers, academics, representatives from the Ministry of Justice, NGO representatives and other actors of the judiciary and representatives of the Moroccan civil society, etc...
